This 45-minute class is an introduction for both toddler and parents to physical literacy through gymnastics.  This class is designed to encourage parent-child interaction and provides a fun and safe environment for your ‘sidekick’ to explore various gymnastics apparatus.  You, their ‘Superhero’, will aid your child, providing them with assistance on equipment and helping to keep them safe with the guidance and supervision of a certified coach.  This class is designed to assist your child’s social and cognitive development as well as developing coordination, balance, confidence and gross motor skills such as running, jumping, climbing and swinging.  Campia’s Superhero & Sidekick classes provide your child with a quality movement experience introducing them to an active early childhood which we hope will lead to an active and healthy life.

Mini Heroes – Age: 3 – 4 (45 minutes)

This 45-minute class is for independent 3 and 4 year olds who are ready to move into a gym class without a parent or caregiver.  This class provides just the right amount of structure to teach children to listen and follow directions while maintaining a safe environment promoting the Fun, Fitness and Fundamentals of gymnastics.  Your Mini Hero will experience a consistent class routine where they will begin to learn gymnastics terminology and skill progressions.  Through age-appropriate activities, circuits and play your Mini Hero will build on their motor skills, balance and coordination.  Mini Heroes are introduced to all six fundamental movement patterns of gymnastics and progress at their own pace, while being constantly challenged by our qualified coaching staff. Mini Heroes receive a certificate of achievement at the end of each session.  As children in this class participate without their parent, they will also experience the joy of independence and gain confidence providing the perfect stepping-stone into our Mighty Hero program.
